How do LED street lights dissipate heat?

I learned that the lifespan of LED street lights will be reduced if they have poor performance on heat dissipation. How do LED street lights manage to dissipate heat?
  • Natural heat dissipation: The heat can be dissipated through natural convection between the surface of LED street light and air.
  • Heat sink: The heat is first transferred to the aluminum substrate of the LED street lamp through the welding layer and then to the lamp shell. Secondly, the lamp shell is conducted to each heat sink. Finally, the convection between the heat sink and the air take away the heat generated by the LED street lamp.
