MokoLight's Advantages in LED Educational Lighting

MokoLight attaches greater importance to LED educational lighting because it helps create comfortable environment both for students and teachers, and reduce energy costs over a long period of time. Wr truly understand its importance so LED educational lamps we manufacture all come with uniform lighting, anti-glare, no flickering, high light efficiency, less emission, and surprisingly affordability while complying with international standards.

Evenly Lit

MokoLight's LED educational lighting is designed to fill in all directions, and the uniform and soft light is bright enough for students to read and write, and for teachers to give classes.

Anti-Glare

Compared with the traditional fluorescent lamps, LED classroom lamps at MokoLight adopt a grille design to avoid direct light to human eyes and further prevent visual fatigue for teachers and students.

No Flickering

Professional LED educational lighting from MokoLight ensure its soft, closer-to-nature light and reduces blue light hazards for vulnerable students; no more eye strain or headaches from flickering.

Green & Safe

Many traditional lighting fixtures contain harmful metals such as mercury. Our LED educational lights are made of safe materials, and conducive to the visual comfort and mental well-being of students and staff.

Choose Your Best LED Educational Lighting

Choose Your Best LED Educational Lighting

Teachers and students in educational institutions can benefit from a healthier lighting environment thanks to educational lighting. Classroom lighting is the most crucial component of instructional lighting. Classroom lighting must not only meet the needs of students for learning and communication, but also guide students to focus on the teaching area and protect students’ eyesight. Therefore, LED educational lighting stands out, and because of its their soft and bright light, low flicker frequency, no glare, and less blue light damage, it has become the first choice for teaching lighting. So, what factors should we consider while purchasing LED lighting fixtures for schools?

Luminaire Efficiency
The average illuminance value on the desks in the classroom should not be less than 300lx, and there should be local illumination on the chalkboard, with an average illuminance value of 500lx, under the international standard for educational lighting. If the educational lighting is far lower than the standard value, the pupils will be wide open and the pupil muscles will be tense. To absorb enough light, the students’ heads will be unconsciously lowered, and the distance between the eyes and the books will be too close, causing vision distortion and nearsightedness.

Shape of Lamps
At present, the commonly used classroom lamps have small grille lamps and large grille lamps. Generally, the small grille lamps give out cosine light distribution. The area under the lamp is where this type of lamp emits the lightest, with the light intensity emitted to the surroundings being very low and the luminous flux is concentrated there. The only way to get a higher illuminance uniformity is to utilize more lamps; otherwise, the classroom will be alternately bright and dark with a low illuminance uniformity. The light distribution shape of lamps with larger grilles can be made into a batwing.

Glare Quality
The glare quality grade of lamps is divided by the test method of the brightness limit curve of lamps. Generally, small grid lamps can reach Class A when 500lx≤use illuminance≤1000lx; while large grille lamps can only reach A grade when 300lx≤use illuminance≤500lx or even lower.

Mounting Height
The illumination effect is somewhat influenced by the luminaire’s installation height. The mounting height reduces, the brightness increases, and the uniformity decreases as the luminaire’s height rise and its illumination level fall.

Lighting Design
Determine the number of teaching lamps required based on the functions of various classrooms, and the illuminance specifications of applicable standards, and choose LED educational lights with adequate performance. A classroom desk, for instance, should have an average illumination of 300 lx and an illumination uniformity of at least 0.7. Local lighting should be installed on the blackboard, and the average illuminance and illuminance uniformity shouldn’t be less than 500lx and 0.8, respectively.
