Despite the fact that most succulents become dormant in the winter and therefore require less light, they often still need as much light as they can get indoors.
Succulents grown indoors won’t go into true dormancy unless you force it with changes in temperature and light.
All succulents need darkness every day for a healthy growing cycle, but they also need at least six hours of sunlight every day to thrive. To mimic natural sunshine, grow lights should be left on for about 12 to 14 hours.
