Because succulents love the sun and prefer strong light to shadow, they also need a particular light with regard to the color temperature of the light. The grow lights’ perceived color is actually just a reflection of their color temperature. This is measured in Kelvin. Light must fall within a specific range of color temperatures in order to give the light that plants need to thrive. The ideal color temperature for succulents is cool, full-spectrum light that closely approaches sunlight, starting at about 5,000 Kelvin.
