Do LED Grow Lights Emit UV Light?

Yes, the majority of LED grow lights produce UV light. Normal LED lights, such as our LED street Light, do not contain UV light.

Although prolonged, repeated exposure to UV radiation can cause cancer and be dangerous to the skin and eyes of humans, small levels of UV radiation are good for both people and plants, promoting the generation of vitamin D in people and strong growth in plants. Other types of grow lights, like HID lights, also emit UV light.

Be careful when working with these kinds of LED grow lights and wear safety equipment like gloves or goggles to protect yourself. Last but not least, always adhere to the manufacturer’s instructions.
