How Do I Know Whether My Monstera Is Getting Too Much Light?

Are there any signs? I am not familiar with them.

Monstera leaves have a lot of information. Their color and texture should be a helpful indication of what is going on with your plant if you pay great attention to them. When a plant receives too much light, it will exhibit:

  • Brown or yellow leaves
  • Lack of fenestrations (leaf holes)
  • Spindly expansion

It’s also critical to keep in mind that, relative to mature plants, younger plants will receive slightly longer light exposure. Lower light levels are tolerated by more mature Monstera.
