Do plants absorb far-red light?

All I know is that far-red light is at the end of the visible spectrum. Do plants absorb it?

While leaves reflect or transmit most far-red light, they absorb most red light. As a result, plants with lower leaves that are densely spaced or those under canopies, like hanging baskets, absorb more far-red radiation than red radiation.
