- Choose a disposable plastic cup, such as one you might use for a picnic or beer.
- Add soil to the cup until it is halfway to three-quarters filled.
- Make tiny holes that are roughly half an inch deep for every seed you wish to sprout.
- After planting a seed in each hole, cover it with soil.
- Wet the soil just enough to prevent weed seeds from emerging from the ground.
- Put the cup somewhere, such as the top of a refrigerator or water heater to keep warm.
- Cover the cup so that no light can enter.
- Ensure that the soil remains damp. Keep it from drying out.
- Return in six or more days to see any small plants that have begun to sprout.
