A marijuana plant generally requires roughly 5,000 lumens per square foot during the flowering phase and at least 2,000 lumens per square foot during the vegetative phase.
While the most efficient light systems, like LED grow lights, don’t produce a lot of lumens, they can nevertheless promote strong cannabis growth because of their high PAR, which guarantees that the light emitted is useful for the plant’s photosynthetic process.
Keep in mind that quality of light is just as important as quantity. The best options are always full spectrum LEDs that can be adjusted to meet the unique requirements of plants at various stages of growth.
