Are LED street lights dimmable?

Is the brightness of the LED street lights the same at all times or is it dimmable? I think if the brightness can change according to the time and traffic, it will save a lot of energy.

LED street lights can be dimmable. Two common ways to change the brightness of the light are linear dimming and digital dimming. Linear dimming changes the brightness of the LED lights by changing the current in the circuit. And it needs a variable resistance to realize the control. Digital dimming requires a pulse-constant-current power supply and provides pulse current by applying the technology of PWM.
