Grow lights are designed to be used in areas where the sunlight is not enough to support plant growth. They are merely an approximate representation of solar light. Having said that, plants do not care where their light originates from, they just require light to survive. It doesn’t matter if the light is produced by the sun or a power plant, as long as it is bright enough and has the necessary wavelengths.
