Sodium-vapor street lamps and mercury street lamps are different in brightness, energy consumption, and color temperature.
- Brightness: Sodium street lamps provide light with higher brightness and color temperature. The mercury lamps are dimmer.
- Energy consumption: To reach the same brightness, the mercury lamps need more power than the sodium lights.
- Color temperature: The color temperature of the mercury street lamps is higher than that of the sodium vapor street lamps. Therefore, the sodium vapor street lamps are always yellow, while the mercury ones are whiter.
