MOKO Conformal Coating for LED
As an original LED Light manufacturer, MOKO has been providing LEDs for customers in a variety of industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, consumer electronics for over 10 years. We place a high priority on quality and perform 100% testing to ensure that our products can always meet your requirements. And conformal coating is a very important technology that helps to guarantee the quality and lengthen the lifespan of our LEDs. We utilize state-of-the-art machines to apply a thin and light coating on LEDs to prevent moisture, heat, dust, and chemical corrosion. As to conformal coating, MOKO provides broad material portfolios to achieve different functions such as moisture-proofing and heat resistance.
Why Choose MOKO for LED Conformal Coating Service
Various Options Offered
There is a wide array of high-performance coatings offered for your options. Our broad material portfolios for conformal coating can be utilized for different applications, which allows you to find the most suitable coating for your project without difficulty. No matter you require a coating that can prevent moisture from the LEDs or the coating that have high dielectric barrier performance, we can always meet if not exceed your expectations.

High Precision& High-quality
MOKO uses advanced equipment to make sure that our conformal coating is highly precise. Moreover, our conformal coating is of high quality, as the raw material that we use are from world-renowned suppliers. Our knowledgeable engineers would work with you closely to design the project-tailored conformal coating solutions, and our proficient workers help to improve the quality and efficiency of our conformal coatings service.
Consistency and Repeatability
The consistency of conformal coating is affected by the coating material. Different material ratios will make the whole process inconsistent. And we use pre-blended materials to ensure that the materials of different batches are highly consistent. In addition, we use computers to control the movement of machines to confirm the conformal coatings can be applied to the correct positions, and this process is repeatable.

Technical Support
If you have any questions about the conformal coating or meet some problems in your life, don’t worry, and MOKO would offer technical support to our customers. Our professional and friendly support team is 24/7 online to ensure that your questions and problems can be resolved as soon as possible without affecting your project progress.
What Is Conformal Coating
Conformal coating is a technology that can prevent LEDs from adverse factors like moisture, corrosion, heat, and dust. The LEDs consist of many discrete surface-mount LED chips that are soldered on the support structures, and the damage of any one of these chips can impact the light from LEDs. And the conformal coatings can protect them and ultimately extend the lifecycle of the LED light.
The common materials for conformal coating are acrylics, polyurethanes, silicons, epoxy, and resins, and the coatings made by different materials have different textures, some are hard and some are rubbery. Generally, the coating is thin and light with a thickness of about 25 to 250 microns.
The Advantages of Conformal Coating
Conformal coating is featured with lightweight, thin, and high flexibility, which will not take much space. Instead, it can reduce conductor spacing by over 80%. In addition, the transparent coating allows us to view the components under the coating. We can remove the coating and replace components easily, which brings much convenience for reworking. Moreover, it has excellent chemical corrosion resistance capabilities and high thermal and mechanical shock resistance performances, so this technology is much popular in the LED industry.

How to Choose Coatings for Different LEDs

Acrylic Coating
Acrylic conformal coatings is perfect for those LEDs that are used in a humid environment, as it can provide solid moisture protection. It is also a good choice when repair and rework are needed as the acrylic can be removed easily by using organic solvents. And we should notice that it is not suitable for LEDs that would be applied in a high-solvent environment.

Silicone Coating
Silicone coating is a great choice for LEDs that are going to be used in an environment with high temperatures, as silicone can withstand very high heat. Some special silicone can withstand temperatures over 200ºC. In addition, the silicone coating is thicker than other kinds of coatings, thus, it can also be used to isolate moisture.

Parylene Coating
Parylene coating is very suitable for LEDs that require ultimate moisture and solvent protection. However, parylene coating is not a good choice for those LEDs that would be exposed to strong sunshine as it has poor ultraviolet (UV) resistance.
